Breitling, Switzerland, ref. 178 wrist chronograph, 17 jewels, Venus cal. 170 nickel plate movement with lever escapement, in a stainless steel and plated base metal case, with Arabic numeral metal dial, blued steel hands, 35mm, c1955.
CONDITION:
CASE: Marks and scratches; Pitting and loss to plating on case side; Plastic crystal. DIAL: minor scratches at 11:00, otherwise very good. HANDS: Minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches on plate; Steel with spots of oxide. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), would benefit from service. COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
